Introduction – EMPR 240

Hi everyone! My (preferred) name is Abby, I am in second year and I am really looking forward to taking this course! I started my first and the only job I’ve ever had in 2016, at a Shopper’s Drug Mart in Belleville, ON. Throughout the years I’ve made some really great friends, with co-workers and customers who regularly come in and see me! I have learned a lot over the years from this corporation about myself and about businesses in general, to which is why this course strikes my interest! Some of the areas I am most interested in learning about is human rights in the workplace and the concept of combatting inequality and unfairness!

Thanks so much for your post, I really enjoyed reading it! Equality and fairness are very important concepts in the workplace and I’m glad to hear you are so interested by them.   I’m glad that you enjoyed reading my post. As said before, I really do think that equality and fairness are very important concepts in the workforce. I think that is is important for people our age to understand these concepts, as after leaving university and beginning our careers, we should know how to treat others and how we are to be treated by other staff members and bosses.
